String Theory – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Android game String Theory (package com.wickedmedia.stringtheory) collects, why, and what choices you have.

1. No account, no servers of our own

String Theory does not have accounts, leaderboards or any online service of its own. The game itself does not send your progress, scores or any other information to us.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

String Theory shows ads through Google AdMob, provided by Google: a full-screen ad now and then between levels, and an optional video ad you can choose to watch to undo a move. To show ads and measure them, Google may collect and process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device information and how you interact with ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the menu on the start screen (Ad privacy choices). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Read more about how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Data stored on your phone

The game stores its settings (sound, music and vibration on/off), how far you have come, the stars you have earned on each level, and your progress in the daily challenges (the days completed and your streak) on your phone only. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data, removes them. You can also start over from the level overview (Reset).

4. What we do not do

We do not ask for your name, e-mail, contacts, photos or location, and we do not sell your personal data.

5. Children

String Theory is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet). As the game keeps your data on your phone only, you can delete it yourself at any time as described above. For data processed by Google for advertising, see Google's privacy policy linked above.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
